Putumayo Kids

There is a library just newly opened by our neighborhood. It is awesome, because when the library is new, same as all the books and stuff, too. It is also very kid's friendly. It has a playground in the middle of the library and has waterproof (for baby drools I suppose, especially for Eli) large sitting around it and under the seats has tons of baby and young children's books. I love taking Eli there and it became his favorite place to visit so far. He loves to crawl around the playground, and all the colorful fun furnitures and watch other children running around him, playing and laughing, (even watching them fighting over territories, Eli always seems to be amused by them).

I have been wanting to find some cool music that both Santino & I and Eli could all enjoy, because listening to some baby lullabies in the car started to put me to sleep and it's not a good thing. While at the library, I found our new favorite music:
It has some very fun tracks and great quality sounds and voices of different languages. I highly recommanded it, and check out Putumayo Kids other productions also (I found them on Amazon website). Later I also found out Pandora Radio has a Putumayo Radio station, which has some pretty neat songs also. Enjoy!

Eli's Baby Blessing.

The day after Santino's graduation was Eli's baby blessing at church. My sister Kaye Starr and one of my niece Keira came to join the rest of us for this. (It was a big weekend for us.) Daddy gave a beautiful blessing for baby Eli. We were grateful for the loving support of family and friends who were with us.

Dr. Cervantes

This should be posted a couple of months ago, but I have a long list of interruptions and now I am finally trying to finish it (and sorry for those who had seen these pictures on facebook already).

On May 9th, 2009, was Santino's graduation. Santino's mother, Connie, and sisters, Bianca and Sasha, all came for this big event. It was a great weekend, it was exciting to fill our mind with the fact that Santino had no more school and all those days and nights of studying and working for free seemed to be worth it.

This was taken the night before graduation at the Senior Banquet with Sasha. Santino was being recognized as a honor graduate that evening. Nice Auntie Bianca was taking care of Eli for me at the moment we took this picture. He was a handful that night, he was tired and didn't do well with loud noises, especially when people clapped their hands, in which, they did pretty much the whole evening. Poor Eli (and poor me.)

The graduation ceremony was on the next day (May 9th), at the Rudder Theatre at Texas A&M, on College Station campus. I was in the hallway for the most part of the ceremony with Eli also, but managed to snap a few pictures while Santino went on stage (many thanks to Auntie Bianca again).Please allow me to present Dr. Cervantes.
An attempt to get a picture of all 3 of us, and Eli was tired and he was not cooperating, so he had this funny face. (Oh well, someday he will regret.)

It was such a special day with his family around for his graduation. Santino, we are so proud of you. And we will celebrate again after five years when he finishes his residency.

Babies by Dr. Seuss.

Last year the day that the doctor confirmed to us that we were having a boy, we went to buy a boy onesie to celebrate. We found these little Dr. Seuss onesies that we absolutely adored, and we saw this girl one I just couldn't put it down, so we decided to buy it for Kassie, who was a month and a half ahead of me pregnant with Keira. We agreed that someday we would put our kiddos in them and take some pictures. We did before we left Temple.

I am glad we did. They were adorable.It was really windy that morning. Eli wasn't too happy about it...
